The Bluebacks offer swim training, healthy competition, fitness & team support to kids ages 5 to adult.
We have both developmental programs for kids who have the basics but are new to competitive swimming, up to more advanced levels with a focus on stroke technique, endurance, and speed.

We are a member of the BC Summer Swimming Association, with our main program running from May to August, with a 'Maintenance' program running up to twice per week as per BCSSA rules. ​
​
New swimmers aged 5-6 able to swim 15 metres unassisted will be placed in a low-ratio development group for practices. They must be comfortable in the water and must attend a swim assessment. See 'registration' for more info.
OUR SUMMER
PROGRAM

Our regular summer program runs from May to early August, with kids swimming a recommended minimum 2 - 5 times per week, building to 1-2 practices per day for older swimmers.
Optional (but awesome!) weekend meets begin in June. Attendance is not mandatory, but swimmers will have difficulty keeping up if they do not practice.​

All members must be able to swim a minimum of 15 metres unassisted. Group placements will be made at the coaches' discretion, based on a combination of age & ability.
SWIMMEETS
What is the best part of the summer season? Swimmeets of course!

Meets are an opportunity for fun & team building, and we encourage swimmers to attend them throughout the season. They're a perfect opportunity for kids to build confidence & develop friendships, while their teammates enthusiastically cheer them on!

And don't worry, our swim fees include the cost of the meets (excluding no shows)

FALL & WINTER MAINTENANCE
Our Fall & Winter Maintenance programs run up to two times per week (in keeping with BCSSA rules), from September - December, and January-April.
To be admitted to our Maintenance programs, typically the Member must have swum during the regular season, space permitting.
